Ingest from SMS

For machines that are have no internet connectivity but have cellular connectivity, data can be ingested using SMS. To ingest using SMS into Formant, first add the device's phone number into Formant.

• From the burger menu select Devices ⇒ ⇒ Configure Device. In the general tab, scroll to Device SIM phone number.
• Add the phone number of the device starting with country code first (e.g. USA: +1).
• From the device, send a text to the Formant API phone number at +1 415 230 2309

As data is ingested into Formant, Views can be configured to display the specific data stream. If you want to transform the data stream into other visualization formats, please reach out to us at [email protected].
