Setting up your device

This section will walk you through the process of adding a device to your Formant organization and installing the Formant agent on that device.

By adding your device to your Formant organization, you can associate it with data streams, control user access to the device, and associate the device and its data with metadata.

The Formant agent is a lightweight data management tool which acquires data, responds to commands, and establishes connections to the Formant cloud.
